It would be a shame to be in Warsaw and not to try Polish cuisine. In the vicinity of Nowy Świat, Krakowskie Przedmieście and the Old Town, you will find a variety of restaurants. The restaurant Pod Samsonem on Freta Street specialises in Polish-Jewish cuisine, it is located in the historical centre of Warsaw, and its atmosphere will take you back to the times before the war. We recommend you to try Jewish style carp, pork cutlet with cabbage, and an apple pie with vanilla ice-cream. Another place worth visiting is Delicja Polska, an elegant restaurant that serves typically Polish dishes. You can easily find it nearby the Royal Castle. Our recommendations: żurek and roasted duck with cranberry sauce and caramelised apples. The third restaurant we would like to recommend you is Grand Kredens. Rich and rustic décor, big variety of Polish dishes, and live music – this is what makes the atmosphere of this place absolutely unique.
If you feel like having an evening drink, head to Wilcza and Poznańska streets or Krucza and Żurawia. We especially recommend a newly opened bar Zorza on Żurawia Street.
